This is great if you are into making Neapolitan pizza at home and aim at good results but no pretense of perfection. I bought it last time it was at $80. I'd buy it again. I also own an Ooni Koda 16. The Ooni gets better and more consistent results. However, if you are not a perfectionist, it is hard to beat the convenience of doing everything indoors without worrying about the weather or whether your propane tank is about to run out.
I only make Neapolitan pizza, I can't speak for other styles of pizza. BTW, I am from Italy. I think I know what a real Neapolitan pizza should look like.

Looks like Walmart is trying hard to get rid of these. $80 last week. Now $50.

a few hundred degrees.
I doubt your home oven gets to 800 degrees like this one.

I just had the chance to use mine that I purchased last week for $80 and was happy with the performance and heat. I had to buy a smaller peel to fit into this oven but had a solid crisp, even on my Caputo Fioreglut gluten free crusts.

Anyone know if they retroactively price match? Not a huge deal if not though, I was close to spending $350 on the Pi from Solo.

I just got one of these steel plates, and cleaned it up.

https://www.amazon.com/Steel-Plat...B081Z3FKQM

I preheat it a half hour at 500, and it'll cook 3 pizzas up real quick and crispy.

I literally just had to scrub it off with brillo pad for like 10 minutes, wash and dry it, then apply a THIN coating of oil on it (I used canola), and bake it for a half hour at 500 to season it.

Then I popped it back in the cardboard container it came in, and stacked it along with a pizza peel and cutting board (I keep them vertical for easier pickup, behind some furniture).

Makes great pizza, pitas, whatever you want nice and restaurant-crisp baked.

That, and whenever ever need a 20 lb weight steel plate to hold something down and even, it's nice for that! Which is surprisingly often, like when I fix some flooring and want it to be perfectly flat with the rest of the floor after using liquid nails on that patch tile.

Agreed, the stone is a little thin, and the interface is not the friendliest, but once you deal with those little nuances, it makes a decent pizza.

What's the difference between this and just using the oven you have at home?

Not much...it just gets a bit hotter. But I returned mine, it was just another appliance taking up space on my countertop. Unless you make pizza from scratch every day, your home oven is fine.

I ordered one as I'd like to make Neapolitan pizzas - not much counter space maybe I'll put it in the garage 🙃

I'm in. I'm going to use it on the patio in the summer to avoid heating up the house and I'll store it in my shed. I have a plan Smilie

Cost to heat a larger space? Excess heat? time to heat?

I use this about 2x a month, and consider it essential to making pizza at home.
If you are into making pizzas, and either cant or dont want to deal with an outdoor oven, its hard to beat the convenience of this appliance. I am gluten free, and it is very hard to find a decent GF pizza anywhere. I can make pretty good pies in this as there are two heating elements - I can heat the stone up to about 720 degrees with the bottom element, and the air to 620 with the upper element, giving me a crisp crust without totally burning the cheese when using higher hydration GF dough. When I make traditional dough for the rest of the family, I crank it to 800 and get great results. Its 95% of the pizza I get out of wood burning ovens, without having to worry about getting the fire perfect and easier cleanup.
