I used my ID once and it never let me use it again for another deal, it seems the ID quota is only one.

Reps to who can tell me the best way to get a new phone number to port in for this deal.

I don't plan on using the phone for actual cell service, so unlocking is not necessary. I just want a decent android device to use. Thanks in advance!

Update: I ordered a number for $5 from numberbarn, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Thanks FabulousStranger526!

Can the # purchased from numberbarn receive a txt msg?
Totalwireless requires a verification code sent to the # porting out, before checking out.
I tried. Bought number from numberbarn. Had to switch to a monthly 2 dollar parking plan to enable SMS setup. SMS setup 19/month but first month free. I was able to send a test message from my phone no problem. But total wireless verification text messages are not going through. Tried several times over last 45 minutes. I did get a great number from numberbarn, super easy to remember, for 10 bucks. No great use for that at the moment, but I guess I'm glad I went through this crap even though no phone so far

I have this phone, got it on a previous slickdeal. I also have Verizon postpaid on an iPhone. The Motorola edge on total matched the iPhone in postpaid for 5g speed. There is a tower near me that I can park under, and both phones hit 950MBPS. On Wi-Fi 6E my 13 and this moto edge hit almost 900MBPS. (My laptop with intel 6E gets 940 so I know the router can do it). I don't play many games but the Motorola has a beautiful screen, charges very quickly, and feels pretty snappy. Great price if you don't care about excellent photography. I ended up leaving Verizon and going to total for that half off for five years deal, all because of the free month I got with the moto. and I'm really happy with it. Plus free Disney +. Then I got a Tello eSIM for the Motorola and it was going immediately without even needing a restart. It seems to work exactly how you expect. All around excellent phone for a great price.

This one is way better than G Power. This phone is the high end version of the Motorola phone. It has a POLED screen compared to the LCD screen from the G Power version.

Why not just get 2 phones in 1 order?

How many variants are there for Moto edge 2024? I checked their official website, sees edge 2024 only, no mention of 5G in the title. But it does have 5G in the spec. Is it the same phone? Thinking about getting a phone case, but try not to order the wrong model.
I don't think I've ever drilled down that far with the 2024, but usually there are a few variants with Motorola models. For example the Edge 2024 is model XT2405. The variants are XT2405-1 for the retail version. T-Mobile or ATT might be an XT2405-2 or something, or maybe even the same XT2405-1. I DO know there is a Verizon variant for these as I picked up this deal last fall, and it's a XT2405V. There is zero difference in functional specs. All the same ram/rom, same band coverages, etc etc. Only difference is the carrier bloat and the Verizon version has a really locked down bootloader that can't be unlocked (not to be confused with carrier unlock which it's perfectly capable of of course). Otherwise they are exactly the same.

That said, this V version does present a couple quirks when used on other carriers. First is most the carrier bloat can be removed by simply uninstalling or adb with a few...but there is no way to get rid of the device pulse app. Not possible even with ADB on these. You can effectively neuter that app, but can't fully get rid of it. The other is at least with T-Mobile (which I've used on for months now since unlock), native visual voicemail doesn't work and nothing I've tried fixes that. Might be something in the bootloader hard coding the server settings to Verizon or maybe a more generic profile used by tmobile for carrier settings due to the V version. Otherwise works perfectly and is a good phone for what it is, and an absolute steal for under $100 (considering no trade ins involved) waiting just 60 days for unlock.

Have this phone for half a year, lots of storage, pretty speedy, just not a fan of the edge screen 😂 and I wish it has a SD slot

the 68w charging is probably the best thing about it

I bought this last sale because I wanted more storage space. Used Google voice so I didn't have to port my number. Overall, I like the device. What I don't like is the very limited choices in screen protection and cases. The hard screen protector I bought is extremely annoying and likely not useful. It only attaches on the two curved edges of the screen so dust gets in. It also makes tapping on the screen in certain edge spots difficult. I'd rather have it than nothing, but the one time I dropped my phone on hard ground it went one way and my phone the other. Luckily no damage.

I got a physical SIM for this one.
On the other hand, Samsung A35 came with eSIM already installed.
