Somewhere during the ordering process (with a discount), you can click and see the terms which say you get two discounted phones per account. You can order more than one LINE and get discount on lines 2 through 4, but any PHONE after the 2nd one won't get the discount.

i forgot about the port in and activated with a new number, would it still unlock after 60 days?

The phone will be unlocked 60 days after it was activated. Whether or not you'll have problems with Total for not porting in is a separate issue. If they try to charge you full price later for not porting in, you can use the excuse that their web site gave you the option to activate with a new number.

So I got the phone and used google voice to port my number but now I can make calls and texts from the phone after the number ported but when I call the phone or send a text it goes to google voice instead. Any ideas on what I need to do to fix this?

sytlus 2023 Metro T-Mobile unlocked automatically after 6 months

stylus 2024 Total Wireless unlocked automatically after 2 months

I only paid for one month

I put the SIM card in at first and never took it out until it was unlocked

I think if activated it normally and used it, it will be unlocked automatically later.

I did the same but I deleted the number from my google voice. Now when I call the new phone, it says "number unreachable". I will wait until tomorrow and try it again.

So to complete my report:
Received the phones two days later. I bought them both from the same Total account. Immediately activated one with the number from numberbarn.
You need to find "Other" in the middle of the list of the providers to port from. It will ask for account/pin from numberbarn.
No SMS will be sent during this process. The porting happened immediately, I was able to make a call within 2 minutes.
I then bought the second number and it took longer for number to appear in numberbarn, than to then transfer it to the second phone.
With both phones activated I see my bill at $85 (discount), but I also see that autopay is not enabled.
I am going to wait a bit and remove the payment method.
Overall it all went great

With a Google Voice that has not been COMPLETELY ported to Total yet, the phone can make calls and texts, but incoming calls and texts still go to GV. It is resolved when GV releases the phone number after a few days. This problem happened very often when Metro was still accepting GV for port-in and we had to call Metro to ask them to "push through" the port-in to complete it. Give it a few days, then contact Total if it's not resolved.

Last June, I bought two discounted phones from Total. After that, I couldn't order any more phones at discounted price, it gave the error "You've exceeded the limit of 2 discounted phones". I waited until around Thanksgiving to try again, after doing the ID verification it gave the same error message. I waited until last week and finally was able to get a discounted phone. That's a gap of 9 months from the previous discount phones.
