Reps to who can tell me the best way to get a new phone number to port in for this deal.

I don't plan on using the phone for actual cell service, so unlocking is not necessary. I just want a decent android device to use. Thanks in advance!

Update: I ordered a number for $5 from numberbarn, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Thanks FabulousStranger526!

Check and see if incoming calls/texts are going to your new phone. If they're going to GV, that should be corrected in a few days when GV releases the number.

Expect a call in a day or two from TW Port Dept 800-353-1842 to the contact phone number that you provided with the port-in request. They'll tell you that they're working on your port ticket and it will be completed by 4/xx/25 and they will set up a call for that day to confirm that incoming calls/texts are going to your new phone.

I had no problem throwing in a visible sim and the phone works fine. Of course it's still locked but seems to work with Visible.

Thanks for the info. My phone is supposed to be unlocked on April 26th. If it doesn't unlock, I'll put in a Visible SIM card and use it.

I have no problems using this on visible while the phone is locked. I did activate the phone with total, but after 4/1. I have no plans of paying for the extra month, so I am guessing the phone will not unlock. I don't really care so much as long as it works on visible.
