This is the old Flexvolt blower (DCBL772). At this point, I would not invest in it - it's extremely loud and the new one (DCBL777) is significantly better

I've been extremely happy with the DCBL777 and it doesn't have the annoying whine of the DCBL772. It's a big step up and well worth the extra money in my opinion

This is a kit plus free battery so it's hackable... 130 for 9ah battery or 170 for blower and battery!

I don't think so... I've used both. In some cases, there are advantages to the new one but for general yard use, No Way. I've used both.

Balance on the old one is designed so it naturally falls at the right angle for blowing off decks or leaves and grass. The new one is balanced flatish. You could use it to dry off your car and turn upside down easy but that's not how I use it. The new one will also suck your t shirt or sweatshirt into it in a heartbeat. The old one never does that. You can even orient the old one directly into your leg or gut if you need to for a temporary angle...

The bells and whistles of the turbo adjustment thingamajig buttons, not a biggie. The smooth trigger on the old one is smoother and adjusts just fine. The new one costs a boatload more too...

I've used them both and am going with the old one as I gave my first one to a neighbor kid who does my lawn and others in the neighborhood and LOVES my blower... AND, the old one at about the same money as tool only on the new one gives you a 9AH/3AH battery.

I have used other brands and some are very good, but likely because of being used to the DeWalt and having many FlexVolt tools and batteries, I am definitely biased. Both of these are good tools. I am NOT taking away from the new one at all. It blows great but I prefer the old one for the above reasons.

All of them are loud...
