Criminally bad OS. Do not buy this unless you plan to replace the OS.
I personally like the OS. I've been using my older Terramaster F4-220 NAS for years and actually prefer this OS compared to Synology. Plus they seem to always have updates for their OS systems and the tech support has been great when I have questions.
I bought this and swapped the internal OS thumbdrive with an UNRAID-formatted drive. Easy install and runs like a champ. I've only been using the raid parity features so far and am using the array as a backup for PLEX media.
Next step is setting it up as a fully-fledged PLEX server using docker containers, etc. Lots of info on setting up stuff in UNRAID available online.

Interested to learn why you're critical of the OS.
