Home Depot tricked me with their battery deals. Now I'm stuck using Ryobi for the rest of my life. One of my greatest fears is dying suddenly and having guys laugh at my Ryobi tools at the estate sale.
I checked 4 HDs near me, one had them on clearance for $70, one had them on clearance for $50 and 2 others did not have them on clearance. Good find OP!
I'm starting to wonder how many Ryobi chargers is too many chargers.

Did it show the "in store clearance price" label on the online store page before you went to the store to purchase?

No, it didn't have any clearance price sticker. It was just the regular price as advertised.

This was $50 clearance near me a few days ago, now the clearance shelf sticker shows $99 and rings up as $99.

Don't worry. Those are sympathetic laughs from fellow Ryobi addicts.

People shit on Ryobi but if it wasn't for them, all these other tool companies such as DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, etc., would all be charging absurd prices for their tools.

At least with Ryobi in existence, they know they have to 'compete' with their pricing somewhat.
I find that Ryobi products are perfectly fine for an average homeowner/DIY'er. The issue will most likely be user error rather than the tools with almost every project out there.

Don't worry they are going to put all your Ryobi tools in your tomb with you, just like they did in ancient Egypt

The Ryobi brushless line is pretty good but thanks for the good laugh

I would argue that Ryobi brushless isn't that far behind the 'big boys' (depending on the tool). Matter of fact a lot of pros prefer Ryobi battery operated nailers over other brands

I like Ridgid myself tho

Thanks OP! I've been itching to replace my old Dyson vacuum battery. I got a Ryobi Dyson battery adapter from Amazon and so far it's working great.

It's amazing that comments against companies raising their price for whatever reason is met with boos and thumbs down.

Mods usually delete my comments right away no matter what I say but it's cool, I keep talking rubbish anyways; gives them something to do

Anyway to see if there's stock online or do you have to call/visit the store?
