Note that this does not have the slide-out supports necessary for cutting longer material. That's probably why they don't call it a miter saw stand, but instead a "work stand with miter saw mounts."

The supports are pretty necessary for cutting anything longer a couple feet - I certainly wouldn't consider a stand without them, but ymmv.

If you don't need the extra compact size, get a much nicer one like this:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../206992161

They do go on sale as well but I would still pay full price for it over the one here for pure ease of use and mobility. You can leave the saw attached to it and not fuss with two separate items.

I wish the DWX724 was as well.

Agree with this comment. I have the Delta version of this and use it for my 12" sliding to keep it out of the way.

Agreed. Without the slide out supports for longer pieces, there's not really any benefit to this over putting your miter saw on any other surface. It's ok if you really need something compact and extra mobile I guess, but I wouldn't buy this personally.

This stand is 15lb. I would never buy it for my main miter saw stand for use at home, but for portability for a small (7 1/4") saw being transported on the daily to jobs, this thing is ideal. You can get a little adjustable material support/roller for like $10-$15 to keep off to the side for longer material. Takes up almost no room in the vehicle and is light enough to leave attached right to the saw and carry the saw around still. The large ones that are similar with wings would make the whole setup too heavy and bulky for that

I have my DeWalt miter saw on the Ridgid rolling stand. It usually goes on sale between 79 and 99. I don't see the benefit of this vs just putting it on a jobsite table

Just ordered one from Amazon to test it out. I have a crazy heavy old Ryobi miter stand. It has the side supports and stable, but it's a back breaker to setup and move around.

I hope this lightweight unit is easier to lug with my saw attached and I can live without the side supports.

I see $119 at Amazon [amazon.com], usually ships in 1-4 weeks. Home Depot's got the slicker price today. Wink

Great reviews at Amazon and Home Depot. nod

It was lower on Amazon earlier, must have popped back to normal price when they ran out of stock.
