Note that this does not have the slide-out supports necessary for cutting longer material. That's probably why they don't call it a miter saw stand, but instead a "work stand with miter saw mounts."

The supports are pretty necessary for cutting anything longer a couple feet - I certainly wouldn't consider a stand without them, but ymmv.

If you don't need the extra compact size, get a much nicer one like this:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../206992161

They do go on sale as well but I would still pay full price for it over the one here for pure ease of use and mobility. You can leave the saw attached to it and not fuss with two separate items.

DWX723 is also on sale for $158.97.

I wish the DWX724 was as well.

Personally, I would get a miter saw stand, especially for a sliding miter saw, that had wheels. Most sliding miter saws weight 40 lbs or more. Add that to the 15 pounds of the stand means you'll have to carry 55 lbs to move it. Yes, I could do it, but seems silly when I could just wheel it on a better stand that probably has the slide out supports that you'd really want to have.

Maybe if you got 2 of these stands, you could use them as saw horses?

Great deal.

Professional finish carpenter/ contractor here.

This is what I use, it's great.

Many people prefer the larger ones with the work supports but I don't and I'll make an argument here as to why it's much better to use the rigid flip stands instead, or better yet something a little more custom..

I don't love the work supports on any mitersaw stand, the dewalt is the best and it isn't great, you need to move them in and out to support different lengths of boards through the day, that is annoying but functional, the issue though is that you need to continually adjust the height of the supports as well because it will sag lower down the further it is pulled out.

I love this compact stand because it's so small and stores in the van easily, that's SUPER important if you work out of a cargo van, you never have enough space and the less bulk a thing is, the more value it has in that other things can go in it's place..

Also the rigid work stands are great, they are super handy for a lot of things, but they make much better work supports than the bult in ones on larger miter saw stands.

Another great feature is that ypu can mount a worktop, just a 3/4 peice of ply to the mitersaw mounts (you can buy the mounts separately) and the height is perfect as an outfeed for the dewalt tablesaw.

Great deal, thanks I'll pick up another one

I just bought one. Free delivery tomorrow, and my 10% military discount applied automatically (does not always work on discounted items).

Homeowner here. Already have the bigger one of these, and bought the miter saw attachment things DW7321 separately (sold for $30-40 at Home Depot).

Since those attachments come with this deal, I could not afford not to buy this (LOL).

For those who don't know, those attachment things are pretty much general purpose - you can screw in a wide range of bench-top tools, snowboard waxing clamps, etc. to those, and then they can clamp onto this stand or be removed and placed on a table, the floor, etc.

I plan to use this and its bigger brother as needed as I finish rebuilding my house.

This is the link is for the 72" or 6' model yes I was looking for the 4' ish model. Almost bought the combo a week plus a go but having 4 chopsaws would be a little excessive

I use this with my Bosch 7 1/4" 18v miter saw, which weighs 28 lb. Add this and that is 43 lb total...nice and easy to move. My 12" Bosch glide (55lb) is sitting on a rolling Bosch T4B (55lb) making that whole set up 110lb. I'm sure you can guess which one I prefer to bring to the jobsite with me whenever possible. Also, the 12" on that stand takes up half the tuck bed. It's a great setup and rock solid, but not something I want to move around every day

Everyone thought that you already knew to do it. Or maybe even go with a 80T?
