The Peak variation may be more practical than the regular lifestraw even though it costs a few dollars more because it includes a built-in adapter that screws onto a typical disposable bottle. It means you can fill, carry, filter, drink water much more easily. There's no need to get down on your knees and put your face inches from a dirty pond/stream while you drink. You can also do it like that if you want, of course.

These are very lightweight and easy to carry. I even keep some around the house in case there are incidents with city water (who hasn't had their water come out dirty on occasion when there is water line maintenance or large storms?).
