Unless you absolutely need something this small, it's going to be much, much slower than a small SSD like a T7 or Adata SE880 or a Sandisk. All of these are the same price.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSG45V6K $26 more for 1000MB/s. I got the 2TB one during amazon spring sale and it's absolutely amazing, really fast. But it's small so if there's a lot of copying, it runs much hotter than my ssd t7 or t9. Understandable.

I have one decent speeds sends a GB in around 14 seconds so yea not horribly slow but now the fastest either

Can confirm, after a minute of running, they get hot and speeds crawl. The speed chart just bounces up and down for-e-vur

These things are absolutely tiny. I immediately tied a string around mine so it wouldn't get lost. Now I'm not sure if it fell out somewhere or just in the bottom of a bag...

Otherwise they are decent.

If you are going 1tb or more, i highly recommend a ssd enclosure of the 20 or 40gbps variety usb c and your choice of ssd drive

As best I can tell, the main difference between this and the one in the OP seems to be the all metal casing, which may help dissipate heat better from the internal components (though the exterior of the case will feel hotter to the touch).

The use case for this would be for use on a phone as extra storage or backup. Useful on that holiday for photos and videos. But i agree for laptops and desktops, SSD will be much better.

Thanks, in for 1. I have OPs 512 version but I only use it for time machine. Figure the metal one is more useful for active use.
