My girlfriend likes when I wear "cool" shoes like this but my god are they uncomfortable. No arch support, no "squish" or cushion that most modern shoes have, and your heal is only about a half inch from the ground, so no shock resistance either. I couldn't imagine playing basketball in these things. But such is the sacrifice for fashion!

personally, I like a very light and flexible shoe, with a wider toe box and the Nike free rn, (I think it's shortened for run) are amazing. really nice on the feet for standing long periods. but ymmv!

Wear what y'all want, but in the past couple years Dunks have pretty much become known as the shoe for middle aged dads who are aggressively trying to be perceived as still cool
