From the product description, this appears to simply be a microfiber/suede sponge. There does not appear to be any chemicals involved. Given this, it likely is no more effective than any other similar material used for wiping a surface. If you need something more, then you would need a solvent of some kind.

As someone who is extremely anal about this type of stuff, I found cleaning the windshield with a totally fresh microfiber combined with isopropyl alcohol, followed by a totally fresh waffle weave microfiber with invisible glass gave me the best, consistent results.

use the highest percentage isopropyl alcohol you can find at Walmart, target, wherever, then moderately soak a microfiber cloth and wipe down the inside of your windshield with this. Be thorough about it. This will clear off the gunk that accumulates and contributes to the fog in the first place. It is because your car interior continuously off gases and this coats the insides of your windows.

I got a free one from Eddie Bauer with my $10 recurring gift card for the lack of anything better to spend it on. I agree with the other poster it's nothing special; the only advantage is it's a poofy sponge that makes it slightly easier to have the material on the windshield when wiping from inside.

The best way to prevent fog is to thoroughly clean and degrease your windshield every 3 months. Even with my cars old front windshield seal it's rarely getting fogged, and if it is, nothing the A/C defrost can't fix. If you're wiping your hoodie on the windshield to "clean it", this won't help you either

This has also been my experience. There is a good YouTube video describing the technique.

I got a cleaning cloth on a plastic handle from Temu that I really like. It helps me reach down the dash where my arm doesn't fit very well.

I posted a similar comment last time this product came up: all it really does is smear whatever is on your windshield around and makes it worse. No combination of spray with this thing removes streaking from my windshield.

That's a good first step, I follow that up with a bit of shaving cream on a rag to put a very thin layer of it to prevent fogging.

Thanks for the tips. Isopropyl lcohol alone doesn't do it. Just got the waffle microfiber and invisible glass.

Windshield fogs up due to oils evaporation from all the materials in your car.
Tsp Dawn dish soap in half gal water
Soak microfiber cloth or whatever towel you have
Wring out water
Wipe down windshield
Dry with another dry microfiber/towel
