They used to just give you additional keys, but key resellers found a way to be scummy with it.

This is actually Steam's policy.

I did this by re-downloading BL3 in steam and using the locally stored saved game files from the epic copy. Most of the steam achievements popped immediately.
I want to make sure I'm understanding. I bought the game on epic, wouldn't I still have to buy a copy through steam? I'm aware how to transfer the saved game files, my issue is I already own the game on epic and if I want to play on steam I'd still have to buy the game in the steam store, right?
