I love hot weather, if I really have to choose between depressing grey sky with non-stop snow for 4 months and a burning hot summer. Neither DH nor I like AC. We did not use our AC last summer. So far, we haven't turned on our AC yet this year. Turkey is almost done in the living room (not oven).
The $5/2 Benedryl/Visine MQ is a 992 and it auto-adjusts and deducts only the value of one item (such as $2.2x of the Benedryl sticks) for me.
The Pampers $2/1 wipes MQ is not a 992 and it auto-adjusts and deducts only the value of the item ($1.97 for the hard case of wipes) for me. If you buy the $2.39 wipes, the MQ deducts $2.00. I bought 1 x $2.39 and 1 x $1.97 and used 2 x $2/1 MQ the other day. When the cashier scanned the first MQ, it deducted $2.00. When she scanned the second one, it took off $1.97. Boy, was she shocked (so was I but not to her extent). She looked at me, looked at the screen, looked at the MQs. She repeated that for a few times. I looked at her back with a "Don't look at me. It ain't my job to figure out what happened" look. She decided to move on and scanned the rest of my MQs.

But since I know that's how it works there, I just won't use those coupons there. Another one it does that on is the Arm & Hammer 2.50/2. I got two trial size toothpastes, and it deducted the price of one.
On the other hand, when you are using a $5/2 coupon on 2 items that total at least $5, and the coupon only scans for 2.29 (or whatever the price of one item is), then the store has just taken 2.71 from your pocket.

it violates the terms on the MQ just as much as Diva allegedly using CWS on Bounty. jmo
