It helped me know that the deal worked for others and may also be helpful for others wondering if it's worth having both services or not

My grocery deliveries were always wrong. I was always receiving only part of my order or someone elses order entirely. Is this a problem for others?

PSA: WM grocery purchases don't code as groceries for debit/credit card offers.

On my Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra i get a out of stock notification... You don't get a push notification saying "x item is unavailable please select substitute" 2-4 hours before you're delivery time slot?

AMEX currently has "Earn a one-time $49 statement credit after using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $98 or more on Walmart+ annual memberships online". I cannot see how we could possibly combine with this deal with that. Hopefully someone smarter than me can figure it out.
I had this offer last year and used it. I dont see it again this year. Maybe AMEX is limiting offers to once per account, dont know.

Not going to be resubscribing due to them wanting tips for the delivery orders. They outsource it to contractors (doordash type drivers) who want tips and adjust their service depending on the tip.

Kroger/Fred Meyer/whatever else they are called everywhere actually have their employees deliver and don't allow tips for grocery delivery with their boost membership.

Any cash back?
Walmart gift cards are 10% off (or more, seen up to 20%) in the Pepper app. Been doing this for the past year and it's great. Also stacks with credit card cash back. They're hemorrhaging money though, a la moviepass, and will likely disappear soon.

The drivers for Walmart+ don't know what you tip. Many of the payment methods don't allow tipping anyway (gift card, paypal, bank, etc.). Just don't tip, Walmart subsidizes it anyway

Hopefully, there's an offer like this when mine expires in less than a month. It's not worth it to renew at full price.
For anyone receiving government assistance like Medicaid, food stamps or similar programs, you can always get membership for $49.

I tried it few months but wasn't worth it for me (since Amazon Prime and T-Mobile for Shell gas discount).

I think delivery on grocery is useful if you don't like doing that chore.

I usually ended up getting Paramount Plus 3-4 months a year for their movies plus some occasional sales for stuff that's under the $35 free shipping threshold so I feel I at least broke even but yeah, I have much better luck picking up the stuff for free at a walmart then getting an order delivered missing stuff and with bad produce and expired or soon to be expired meat.

Refund process is seamless but when you have to go back out to Aldi, Jewel, etc. to buy the stuff you want when they mess up (which is 90% of the time) it offsets a lot of the benefit

They can definitely see the tip amount when choosing to pickup an order, and orders with no tips will sit until all the other ones are delivered first.

I used to drive for Doordash and at least back then, you couldn't see tip amounts until the end, either it all wasn't added to the order amount (they often obscured it to prevent people from just fishing for the very best orders) or it was and you had no idea how much was coming from Doordash or the tip. But if an order was the minimum ($3 back then in my area), you knew it was DD minimum and probably didn't have a tip. Can't speak for the other apps.

I did order from Walmart+ once during a trial and it unexpectedly came from a store (not for groceries), and the guy did multiple sets of knocks until I answered, so it felt like he expected a tip. Whatever app he got the order from, I don't know. I never got tipped once in cash over hundreds of DoorDash deliveries, so I wouldn't have any expectation for it.

I just went to the Cancel option on my account and it offered the promotion at renewal. I see a couple other people had the same experience. One person says it cancelled without an offer. I would imagine if it cancels, it should just run until the end of your subscription, not just quit, but unsure. That's what I was going to test until they offered me the promotion and I accepted it. Worth a shot I think?

If you go to try to cancel your subscription, does it offer you an option to renew at 50% off?
