You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

For TextNow when you entered the number in "Check if your number is eligible" it sends a text to your TN number you can't verify as you need premium feature for $1.99/- weekly? Anyone else got a workaround?

Nope, my 2nd order cancelled. I think tw is tracking shipping address as well. My wife ordered 2nd one, but it got cancelled

Just use a regular number at checkout. Then when you receive the phone you can use the text now number to port

You should be able to order 2nd phone at discounted price now that you've got an active line in the account.

Sorry for the late reply. I am busy at work. I think they still have your number in the system and you have to be 6 months till a year and then you can port back to TW.
