You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

Realistically, how many more iOS updates is this going to get? I got one of these only for Airtag tracking because I prefer Android, but Airtags have no comparable rivals. I would imagine updates are tied to CPU versions, right? The iPhone 14 series basically uses the same chipset, so I'm thinking that helps the 13's chances of another year. The 13 was released in 2021, so maybe 2 more updates? That would be generous of Apple.

From what I read from other sites it should around 2027 or 2028 the updated will be supported. It should be 2 OR 3 more year of updates unless Apple changes their schedule of OS updates. I am an Android person too and I prefer Android. Where I work at a college the faculty and staff mostly use Apple Iphone and I never used an Iphone before so this will be my first basic Iphone. I just bought this phone to "play with it and get to know IOS as a first time user". Besides it is affordable $165.00 for an Iphone. Yes I know it is an older model but hey at least it works and it it using the current OS.

the thing about iPhones are that they use high quality components. Speakers and sound quality, camera, screen quality are all great. I got two of these 13's since they are the last year for the sim. I have a old 5S and 6S and they still work great, except the 5S doesn't support whatsapp any more. Both still pull a strong signal for 4G LTE. Original batteries and still about to go the full day if not heavy use. The 13's camera and video are outstanding with 4k and 1080p at 60fps.

Try to clear your cookies cache and history and try again or try another browser. Did you try going to the store and get an Iphone 13?

It was for a Moto Edge 2024, but I assume the same would happen for the iPhone. I tried other browsers and other phones too. Kinda odd. I wonder if its due to my previous TW Edge not being activated yet. I didn't activate it simply cuz I had issues with the Google Voice port, but I think that is irrelevant to this Verifii error

I see. That is odd. Oh you had TW before but you didn't activate the phone due to Google Voice port. No that should not be a problem to Verifii. Try going into the store and see what happens. It seems to be on their side. Call Customer Service and see what happens.

I have a question: If I get the phone with the plan paid, but bring the phone to another country - like any European country due to trips planned - and keep the phone on airplane mode and use solely on Wifi,

1- Would I be able to use the phone?
2- Would the phone still unlock outside US, and without active cell connection (though 3 months of paid active plan)?

Make sure you activate it here. Launch, update OS, make a few phone calls and text for a few days while here. Then all good, should unlock 60 days after activation via wifi. If not, put in local sim and reboot.

And yes you can use as a wifi device of ipod in between.

People are still sporting 7 and 8 or SE 1st gen. In general, they last. For updates, my 2018 ipad does not get them any longer but the 13 i think will have staying power. Fast chip, 5G, same chip as 14, so its really only 2 years/cycles behind. Cutting the 13 means cutting the 14. Should get 3-4 more updates.

The iphone X (2017) is "vintage" now, but the XS and XR from 2018 is still officially supported. The 13 is from 21 and has the same chip as 14 from 22.

Yup. I still have my fleet of iPhone 3GS-8s. They still work and can be use for phone calls

My 16e from straight talk unlocked. Activated 3/7. My 13 from total did not unlock. So maybe someone fudge the programming on the straight talk side.

I'll know for sure when the next st 16e around may 22 will unlock or not after 2 months.
