Thanks. Outgoing calls and text work...and so does mobile data. But incoming calls and text still go to Google Voice. I guess will just have to wait a few more days.

did you get a pin code or activation card other than the sim card? I received mine today and spent five hours with three agents and neither could activate it because they didn't ship me a plan card, just a sim card. Their solution was for me to buy another plan and lose the 3 months I've already paid for. I'm trying to get a refund through them since, if I were to go the PayPal refund route, the soonest they can deal with the issue is mid December.

I tried calling that number and I was on hold for over half an hour. An agent finally picked up but wasn't from Total Wireless, he was from Simple Mobile. He told me it's a sister company and couldn't activate it for me. He forwarded to what he claimed was a TW agent, after 20 min. Someone from Tracfone picked up and same story, couldn't activate it because he wasn't from TW. I gave up on the phone system and contacted them through chat instead.
I got the SIM card packet that includes the sim card number. There is no pin code and was able to port out my number into this one despite saying that it's error

Anyone having issues activating their phone ? I'm getting this error when trying to activate with existing number
We apologize, but we cannot process your transaction at this time. Please try again later or call us at 1-866-663-3633.
I tried again this morning, and decided to proceed despite the error warning. I was able to port out my number and activated my phone.

The problem with ID verification is that their computer software has the potential to scrape all info, including sensitive stuff like the ID number and Date of birth. Not worth some $100 savings in my opinion.
What if you hide DOB and part of DL number? Wonder if they would still approve. I know my old DL is on the dark web with my ss# thanks to T-Mobile

Incoming calls and texts are now working today. So in total...2 days to port out Google Voice number to TW for us. Used our actual address and zip code instead of Google's address in Mountain View, CA.

Just a fair warning if you had trouble with the port in e.g. incoming calls not working etc. this happened to me and they inactivated my line and then activated the line again but in the esim2 on my phone. After that it was a complete shit show, they refuse to unlock after 60 days, claim I switched line and use the eSIM on a different phone. I can only urge you to check your activated lines in your account, in my case there was a dead initial line and a second activated line but they counter days of service on the initial line that they themselves switched over to the 2nd eSIM. These guys are idiots- I am already in my 2nd FCC complain.

yes, you can use it for other purposes which does not need an active mobile number using wifi. But if you want to unlock it far later, TW might say they don't have your active number/record anymore. Happened to me once where phone was in drawer/off and it didn't get unlocked and when i tried unlocking after almost an year, they said they don't have record of this device anymore/number not active/linked to someone else.

If you port a GV number can you port it back to Google afterwards? GV now limits phone numbers to activate on a cell phone so it is only one number per actual cell number.

Thanks
