You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

Since I'm only interested in the 60day unlock, it sounds like I should just wait even though my port in didn't work?

Back in my day, we only needed money to buy something.
Buy regular price and you don't need ID. You can't have it both ways.

I am considering doing this for my in-laws. Do they limit this deal to one per address?
2 per person, and GV TOS are 1 number per person, and their automation has gotten better at detecting if you're trying to get a number when you already have, or use to have one.

Even Steve Job's daughter, one of the recipients of your money, famously bashed the iPhone 14 as being almost the same as the iPhone 13. It's like you don't understand what's happening.
