I don't. Always seemed annoying and inefficient to me no matter the device.

I also keep my email inboxes at zero and nothing unread. Idk
Never understood why people have 100 tabs open. Seems like people are too lazy to close tabs they're done with. I use the bookmarks bar to open sites as I need them instead of keeping tabs open (and then needing to find amongst the 100 open tabs) which, as you mentioned, increases resources needed.
It's like having your desktop screen completely filled with file icons. Too lazy to organize and the downside is when you need something, it's like a image find puzzle finding the one you need.
Do you need more? Majority can get by with low end chromebook for what they use it for. Not sure why people are buying powerful laptops to look at instagram and youtube

Ah yes, the mystical Core Ultra 7 Series 2.
Model number, SF16-51T-76TG, suggests it is the 256V.

You're spot on. 16gb ram is the 256v, 258v is the 32gb.

Lol 16GB for a laptop in 2025 - It's hilarious how they bloat the prices up and then make you think that you're getting a great deal. All of them - not just Asus.

I think I'd like more or at least the availability to expand because I do work with Adobe illustrator and inDesign, but I am not the majority. Agree with you otherwise.

Lol that's not the case - when browsing online , there's just too much info that needs to be opened and compared (just as simple example car shopping ). Taking notes and bookmarking and going back and opening is just too cumbersome .

A good analogy would be having multiple monitors . Why do people have multiple monitors - to see different things all at once , without having to switch or close&open - that just slows down the whole analysis or "information consumption" process. Hope that makes sense .

Then you're not doing it right. That info should be organized on a google sheet or some other medium. Just having tabs open to reference when you could have categorized and sorted is sub-optimal. You mentioned car shopping. It's much, much easier to have the info all on one sheet to see a quick out the door pricing that was negotiated at the various dealerships than it is to revisit their websites over and over. I've handled my last two leases this way and couldn't imagine not organizing it as you cast a wide net, talk to so many different salespeople and have so many different combinations even in the same trim level.

Thermals are not adequate on the higher level of this model, Acer Swift SFG16-72T with Ultra 9 185H 2.30GHz and 32GB of memory. Hot to the touch working with PDFs. CPU hits 101C, and the system 54C.

Many reasons why and many app are browser based. Using web based app, only a few can gobble up RAM easily, especially with webGPU in increasingly common. So laziness got nothing to do with it...y'all complain about apple up charging for RAM but windows is just more hidden.

A 32GB laptop will cost easily 300-500 more , more often than not while upgrading other parts, when in fact all you want is more RAM.

I've been watching for a laptop that works well for basic stuff but also had a nice screen to do remote gaming from my desktop. Does this one fit that description? Are there other ones that fit it better?

If I could get this spec, while trading touch functionality for 32GB of RAM, I'd be happy.
