G2 felt like a worthy sequel, I feared it would end up seeming like nothing more than a cheap cashgrab.

As typical of Ridley Scott directed movies. They wanted a 2 hour movie, he filmed for an 8 hour movie and what we get in theaters is 3 hours of super fast paced action that feels it's going a little too fast.

I hate slow burn movies, like.. absolutely detest them. This movie was way too fast paced, you couldn't really get to know the characters or form anything beyond quick opinions.

When the directors cut comes out, it'll be a lot better as it'll be longer.

Honestly, the CGI was the only aspect of this movie that I didn't care for!
Keep in mind it will look even worse as the years go by, whereas the original gladiator looks nearly perfect even by today's standards!
