I hate absolutely HATE att!
I'm put off going to another service with promised discounts which may be taken away.
I also got some additional savings by using portals when ordering each line.
All in a good deal, but of course if it doesn't go right, involving Verizon CS I'm sure is a nightmare.
Key in these situations is to do all online and avoid human interactions where things get messed up (wrong promo codes entered, etc)
I'll stick to my prepaid carrier, unlocked iPhone 2 generations old that I'm paying $15/month for unlimited talk and unlimited 5G. People are going crazy paying money for phones that will expire worthless. I wouldn't even pay $400 for this phone. I haven't spent over $200 on any iPhone.
I understand this might be some "deal" price compared to MSRP but come on, people should see this as the biggest SCAM ever.
My bill with tax = 140 / month
x 3 years = $5040
Less $900 gift cards
Less - $300 portal savings
Total cost - $3840
Cost of 4x iphone pros would have been $999 x 4
So basically just got 3 years of free verizon service.
Devices unlock after 60 days (have already unlocked for me)
Also think I'm saving an extra $5 or $10 on my FIOS bill.
Service isnt great but I'm not sure the priority is any lower than prepaid.

Since iPhones hold their value so well, In another year or so I will be able to sell or trade in for a new model and only take a couple hundred dollars hit while getting a new battery & warranty.
I'm not real excited about the VZW service, but in this deal it was essentially free for me, so currently using it as a dual sim with T-Mobile to cover those few rural areas where TMo coverage isn't great.

Service cancelation before 36month = you'll have to pay remaining balance from full retail price. None paid balance = they'll send your bill to collection agency and blacklist unpaid phones.

You also cant use portals to get additional savings many of which are much more than $35
Ordering without agent intervention my rebates ($900) all came fairly promptly (about 4 weeks) and I got 20K airline miles as well.
