Knowing Verizon, your monthly bill won't be $140, it will always fluctuate due to "reasons" and they are known to dick around with every customer.

3 years contract the norm now?

They lost me when they removed auto pay discounts and jacked up the price while I was still in a "contract". Same thing will happen again.

how to get $75 for 5 Google fi lines ? I am seeing $125 for 5 (the Simply Unlimited) on Google fi website.
You missed the deal 50% off for 24 months, then a 50% off for 18 months deal that just expired as well.

Ah I forgot you forfeit the remaining bill credits, so it should be 18x $33 or so
You don't just forfiet the credits you have to pay the remaining balance of the phone that the credit was paying off monthly. It's actually the exact same thing as paying for a phone just that if you stay with them they pay it down, if you leave before that, you have to pay the rest of it.

I just bought a new phone from the manufacturer. I've been with Verizon for 20+ years and am going to bail for Google Fi. I am SO tired of being jacked around by Verizon "service" agents. They have great coverage in my area but the premium price isn't worth being lied to or having to call multiple times (and wasting an hour or more) to get something fixed that THEY screwed up!
Do it. My bill went from $350+ to $75 for 5 lines... i have better coverage and no issues with voice quality in Orange County. I had to pay off my remaining line that I was getting credits back for after trade in. Even then it was still cheaper to leave. Ridiculous.

AD says "3 year price lock guarantee". How does the price go up?
Taxes and Fees are not included in the "Price Lock Guarantee".

So, any way to get the lines on contract and hunt for another provider that will pay the contract breakage fee by the time the 1st month ends?

I used to get tax around $4.5 -$5 per line. So for 4 lines plan cost should be around $160 .

Few times I saw bill issue but if you call them it all gets resolved.

You weren't in a "contract" of your plan/service. You were in a "device payment agreement" for the device payment itself. Two different things.
Not so much different from consumer's point of view. Remember early termination fees years ago? You are locked with them for 3 years and they can increase the price whenever they want and you can't do anything about that. You can leave whenever, but you have to pay the remaining balance.
They say price is locked for 3 years, but they can charge more fees and remove auto pay discounts and such.

It's tempting to swap over to this deal from T mobile. The last 6 months for 5 lines it went from a total price of $162 to $188. We don't get any free phones and have a basic plan.
I had the same problem with Tmo and switched when Total Wireless had the BYEBYETMO promotion for $15 /line. I now use the saved money to buy unlocked phones. Only good for 5 years. 15GB of hotspot included and use most of it, unlimited everything else. I think it was in September when they did this, wonder if they will do it again? $15 includes all taxes and fees which I am really tired of.

Search BYEBYETMO on google if you want more info on this expired deal.

Sorry for the long post. It's really much worse and more detailed but it's a comment section so...
I know to stay away from Verizon as they are crooks and thieves.
They lie and try to get you to pay when you don't owe them anything. Was going thru hell with them on a business account which I had screen shots from what we agreed on but no they wouldn't respond and always transferred me to another department. Said they sent a email but I got nothing. Then got the email and it conveniently was nothing related. Went to a official Verizon store and they tried to help but couldn't resolve it. When I spoke to them on the phone I was recording them. They tell me this call is being recorded and I said so am I so she tells me that they'll need to end the call unless I stop recording! I said you are recording so can't I? This is NY btw.
Then collections came after me which is Verizon themselves under a different name. Luckily it was a business account and not on my personal so not my score.
They claimed I didn't return 4 phones, then said it was due back on the 31 but it came on the 3rd so it's late and I owe them over $4000. But I had the tracking info and provided it to them which showed delivered on the 31st. So the idiot says but we were out and came back on the 3rd!
It only ended after about a year after I told them I recorded the call and they can't lie. They hung up.

Got mine four line yesterday, I got 4 iPhone 16 pro for +5$ each phone per month for 36 month. Total comes to 100+20+tax, agent told me bill gonna be around 147$ each month. TIP: ORDER IT THROUGH ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ASK THEM TO WAVIE YOUR ACTIVATION FEE ON TOP OF 200$ gift card, which is 35$ each line, another total saving of 140$! I've done it with T-Mobile same way before!
So, you didn't pay any money yesterday, right?

So a few months ago, it was a different Verizon offer for 4 lines at $100/mo but you get the 16pro 128 GB and trade-in a phone. This offer for the Pro Max is tempting but at a higher plan cost. Hm..... as I can't decide if I should ditch my current grandfathered T-Mobile plan I am paying $120/mo. for 4 lines. I need new phones for the family though and T-Mobile is offering squat and I recently got a text of incremental fee increases.

How do you get that much? I don't see it listed that high on there.

I got the email from C1 that shows $225 for New Service Contracts and $47 for Additional Phone Lines.

Can you confirm the pending total rewards you're getting if you did new service with 4 lines?
