With Amazon Visa Prime card you get 20% additional back as found out and added by user below, bringing the Router to $320 lowest ever.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D7MSQG4T

Price wise this is only the second time ever this router has gotten this cheap, the last time was at Xmas and it has not been back down to $399.99 since.

Router specs:

12-Stream 19 Gbps | 2×10G + 4×2.5G Ports, USB 3.0 | Turbo Acceleration, Dedicated Gaming Port & Panel, RGB Lighting | EasyMesh, HomeShield

This router is not for everyone, this is for those that want the extreme max of your 1+ Gig connections since it can handle up to 10 Gig WAN. This is targeted to gamers and competes against the Asus Rapture lines. This would also be for NAS power users as the 10gig port can clear any bottlenecks and increase passive performance even with spinner drives, as the 1gig port is the bottle neck in most NAS devices.

Dong called it the best router TP-Link ever made so the review was really good. Only thing better would be the $700 Asus ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro, which the lowest ever price was $630 for that model. This was top of the charts for most categories with only a few ASUS models beating it in wireless performance.

Wi-Fi signal also depend on the strength the device since it's two way communication. I wouldn't buy access point of this price.

This has been rock solid for me for months now, but do keep in mind that TP Link carries some risk of being banned in the USA which will limit support if that happens. As a piece of hardware, this is a nice unit. I get great range without drops and fantastic speeds.

please educate me, for a quiet expensive router like this, what's the minimum network speed required to make this routers worth? For example, if I'm on 500mbps speed plan, does it make sense to get this router for me? Thanks

That's going to vary from user to user. This is more for power users who deal with high amounts of terabyte transfers. The average internet user and gamer will not see any real-world difference.

No, you are better off with the BE3600. I got this because I want to ultilize my 10gb internet connection as well as needing strong wifi signal for backyard in a single unit.

As others have said this is extreme overkill for you, but besides just for power users this is also very beneficial for households with a lot of devices im talking like 60+ all on wifi as it will manage all of them better due to the high end hardware.

For your speed and depending what you do something in the $50-150 range should do just fine. Can be even cheaper depending on a good sale like the other AX3000 wifi 6 for $72 is a good pick up for medium sized homes.

Honestly I wouldn't upgrade to anything of this caliber until you're at 2Gig or higher. I'm getting my full gig speeds on a wifi 6, AX5700 device

No more TP-Link. US Government (prior to the current asinine administration) has determined it's got spyware in it. I've decommissioned my TP-Link 24 port switch and access point and replaced it all with Ubiquiti. I'll get around to selling my TP-Link stuff on Ebay at some point.

That whole narrative is going bust, as the US military uses TP-link products, the original ban has nothing to do with spyware but with price competition, and third TP-Link already created a parent company and transferring all aspects of its business to California as well as complied by all demands of the US government.... People just need to stop parroting old talking points without verifying their validity....

You switched to a worse performing product that cost you probably 3X as much to get setup, nice, lol!

Also dumb switches and spyware, lol, sorry will robinson but that danger is non existent and impossible.

It takes 10 seconds to google dude.

https://slashdot.org/story/25/04/...from-china

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tp...00022.html

This just goes to prove how lazy people are in doing some research....

BTW thanks for the heads up on the 20% off this makes the deal an even bigger steal.

It has nothing to do with laziness, you're the one making the argument so the onus is on you to provide evidence.

And you're welcome

Wouldn't it only be fair for you to have also replied to Klondike5-1212 asking for links as well? And shouldn't you have provided links too? Both you and Klondike5-1212 seemed to be in agreement, but neither of you provided any kind of links or proof. However, you were very quick to replay to the first counterargument by demanding links.

You have not provided anything to backup the argument that TP-link is an unsafe choice. Could you provide any links that contradict what PeteyTheStriker is arguing?

You're right except this whole tp-link being investigated by Congress and the American government is fairly common knowledge at this point
