Yes, they did. That was last week. This week I bought another $50 CVS GC at another store; I got the one that looks like it has swatches of lipstick on it, and EB printed, no problem. Went back to original store (where I didn't get EB last week), got a different design (using a different EC card, of course) and EB didn't print and I had to get a MP. This one has swatches of blue and green on it. It's really frustrating that some work and some don't! I don't know if it's the specific design or maybe certain stores have older GC's or something?
I bought the Thank You gift card today and the ECB printed.

I got that one today, and it printed the $10. Great deal!

Had to pick up an RX so I went to cvs for the first time in a long time. Pharmacy refused to scan my card, are there no longer RX rewards? Also the Red Machine had a strange error Ive never seen. I assumed it is store specific but is the Red Machine no longer a thing.

Starting to run out of toothpaste so I was hoping today's trip might yield an acceptable deal with a free ECB or bounce back offer or at least a coupon or something.

Our red machine worked the last time I tried, maybe a week ago.

Best deal right now, in my opinion, is buy $50 in qualifying gift cards, get $10 ecb. The CVS gift card that says Thank you on the front works for the ecb deal. Especially if you get your RX from CVS, this deal would be easy to use. I use the CVS gift cards when I have a % coupon now, since ecbs reduce the value of the % coupons.

CVS is so bad that I have a card with 40% and 35% coupons and I can do the gift card deal but I'm still not interested. The $10EB is worthless to me when it's Garnier shampoo, Covergirl eye pencils, Maybelline baby lips, Neutrogena whatever, and Boost or Ensure on sale every week. I don't want any of those items and I sure don't want Tide at $14.99. Gain will be on sale for $9.99 next week but Vons had a much better Gain sale last week and they had coupons for all of the sale items (not just the flings that are always oos at my CVS).

Yeah, I am not shopping the deals any more, so what 'deal' they have available won't be drawing me in. My $10 ecb will go to something we use and will need. I have found a couple of items CVS has that are only carried a few places. Funny thing is, the price for these items is so much better than the other places I can get them that they will bring me back to CVS.

I have my eye on a $100 cooler that would be amazing deal with the coupons I have. $100 is a very fair price for it. It keeps the ice cold for a week. It's made by Rtic and it's in the summer seasonal section. I really want the cooler but I don't want to be drawn back into CVS like I always am so I'm resisting the temptation.

I loved how Vons had coupons for all of the Gain items. Some of them expired during the sale but they sent new ones. CVS doesn't do that. They take away coupons if you don't clip them right away and there's only one Gain coupon and it's usually for the item that's always out of stock. It was refreshing to do a coupon deal at Vons and have everything work right. I'm not used to that at CVS.

I've said it before, but I'm one of the few who are very pro %off coupons. Especially when you have two big ones like that to stack! We stack them with the extracare plus (correct name?) 20% off on over the counter meds, but we don't use the $off extrabucks with them. (Well, very rarely. I needed a liquid hand soap refill and used a bonus 40% and a bonus $4 off to get a nice deal.) I always say I'm not a great couponer, but those %off coupons work for me.

Does anybody think CVS is going to tighten up again? MonkeyDawn's post plus one I read on I heart made me nervous (someone's accounts got locked or something...). Like, I have a free hair color coupon that appeared out of nowhere. Is it safe to wait to use it to see if a better deal comes up this weekend?

Now that I'm not rolling ecbs, I like the % off coupons too. When I get one in my email, I usually buy something cheap or on sale to see if I get another one. Even two 20 or 25% off coupons are great on a $10 item at CVS when the same item is almost $20 on Amazon and Walmart. I honestly think someone has mispriced the items at CVS.

P.S. I'm not mentioning which items I'm buying because the local stores don't keep more than two of each on the shelf, and if you needed them you'd have already figured out what a great deal they are.

Last thing for the evening: I was asking about product substitutions on store orders. Then I got sick, so I didn't come back to it.
I ordered the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In conditioner. They substituted it with Sleek & Shine Moroccan Hair Oil. I think I only paid tax on this, so not a big deal, but to me that's a very different product. Is it possible that Garnier wants them to push the oil? Or am I thinking into this way too much?

I think you're putting too much into this. I think the store was just trying to fulfill your order.

The Moroccan hair oil sells for $8.29 which is almost double the price of the leave-in conditioner. That was very nice of them to sub it with a much more expensive item but I get it if it's something that you don't have a need for because then it has no value.

Speaking about pricing, CVS has a few items that they sell in 2 different parts of the store. It's the exact same item but they have different prices depending on the section that it's in.

I think we all have our items that we like to buy with the % off coupons. I used to get 40% off double stacks all of the time and I would always use them. The gift card deal this week is a great way to pay the oop and make $10. I love these deals especially the gift card ones. I'm almost out of CVS and I don't want to get sucked back in. I love the detergent deals but they're messing around with the Tide price way too much and I never have a dq when I need it. I hate the flash deals and having to buy caramels to get the 10/70 coupon. I don't want to buy a bunch of products that I don't need every week. I have no place to put them. It would be different if CVS would mix up the sale items but it's always the same old boring stuff that they have to pay us to take. Tide is something that I need so it can be the same deal and I'll be very happy. I don't need more Garnier shampoo, Covergirl eye pencils, and Maybelline baby lips. I wonder if CVS will still have them on sale 10 years from now.

Thanks for the tip about GCs. I still have Viggle gift cards if you can believe it or even remember what the heck Viggle was! LOL

I luckily/ unluckily hit my max OOP on meds in January due to my Crohn's meds so all of my medica stuff is "free" after that every year.

CVS emailed me a $5 coupon. I havent clicked the get coupon link but it looks like just $5 off with no minimum for the coupon. Anyone know if that is true or will it print/ add to my app as a 5/20 or something...anyone know?

Since deal talk is low and I know I talked to a couple people here about it, we finally did our Disney trip earlier last month. Everything was fantastic (but no deals to be had at Disney lol). The weather was perfect and we had the best time with our friends celebrating my 50th. Then husband and I went on a cruise, which was also pretty perfect.
