What prices are considered a good deal on a 7.1 headset nowadays? I'll need to buy a replacement soon, and I'm not sure if I should stick with Logitech or get another brand. The problem isn't the sound quality but just that the plastic or wires break... almost like they are cheaply made in another country and designed to fail after the warranty ends.
I am using the Arctis 3 now but wanted to cut the cord. I didn't want to spend over $100. This fits the bill perfectly for what I do for less gaming now, some movies, and occasional discord/teams. Tough to beat $40, but the Arctis 7P refurb just hit $80, and I couldn't turn it down. On Rtings (https://www.rtings.com/headphones...09
Just noticed I didn't address your issue at all for 7.1 maybe check this https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc...eadp

I hope there is an acceptable option for a 7.1 headset in the $50 or less range even with inflation of recent years. I don't remember having any sound issues on my headsets which I use for gaming, not for music or movie watching. They just seem designed to break in 1-2 years. Usually the wires short and the sound goes out, but this time the plastic broke and I never dropped the headset.
