IMPORTANT NOTE. This is not a Micom (computer-controlled) rice cooker! This is a regular mechanical rice cooker, just like the $20 Aromas you see at any big box retailer.

Unless you need 10 "cups" of rice at a time, the CR-0605F Micom cooker that is usually $50 at Walmart is a much better deal. It has settings for brown rice, jasmine rice, steel cut oats, quinoa, and a lot of other stuff, it makes fluffier white rice than mechanical cookers, and (unlike mechanical cookers) it doesn't burn the rice at the bottom if you leave it on "warm". It's on the Tiger/Zojirushi level.

I actually prefer things that made in China than US
Cuckoo is a Korean brand. Their upper-level products are made in Korea.

Is there a place of manufacturing that's preferable for this brand? I know people prefer Japanese Zojirushi rice cookers. I assume some people might find your comment political but I'm guessing you were trying to be helpful.

Does made in China really have bad quality? I always wondered about this because the "it's made in China, it's bad" always come up in rice cooker thread.
Is there any data supporting this? Or this is just anecdotal?

Looks like a quality product but I'm done with nonstick coated stuff. No way that's good for you. Wish it was stainless steel

Cuckoo is a Korean company but various models are made in South Korea or China. Inevitably, the topic comes up. See previous Cuckoo threads.

Made in China, Cuckoo and Zojirushi can last years. Some have reported 10+. Made in their respective countries they'll outlast you

We've has a couple cuckoo rice cookers. The previous one we had could easily keep rice good for like 3 days. The one we have currently rice is pretty gnarly if not consumed within 24 hours.

Not sure if its a made in korea vs china issue. Just not the same quality.

Neither of them are this model.

How did it keep rice for 3 days? Did you leave the rice inside it? I thought you were supposed to remove the cooked rice when it's finished and store it in the fridge.
