Okay, irrelevant to this thread but I happen to be selling my Panasonic 42" plasma and it has a far superior picture quality, even at 720p, than the $300 "4k" junk TVs at walmart

Canadian price is $110. The false $90 claim came about because European prices were revealed slightly before US prices. Someone did a direct conversion from Euros to Dollars and it came out to ~$90. Then Reddit, Twitter, etc. ran with that as if it was fact and now here we are.

Also worth noting that Nintendo is doing two-tier pricing in Europe, where the physical version costs ~$10 more than the digital version. It's the physical one that is ~$90, digital is ~$80. In the US, both are $80 (or $50 with the bundle).

I think this depends more on whether you'll ever want to play on a TV. It's easy to confuse a Switch Lite for a Switch (or even a Switch 2) but it's really not. It's more like an upgraded 3DS with a huge game library.
