I've been looking at this speaker, but $20 is pretty much the normal price, so not really a deal.

I tried this after reading some great only recommendations, but was disappointed, and ultimately returned it.

It didn't sound bad, but it didn't sound ground, and it was substantially larger than similar micro speakers, such as the JBL Go, various Altec Lansing ones, and the Tozo PE1, which is what I ultimately settled on.

It was just too bulky for such mediocre sound.

How is the tozo? I had or somewhere have the tribit xsound go... For its size, pretty good to me. And the slightly bigger version is even better. The sony xb100 is pretty good too.

I really like the Tozo. It had a bit more bass than the other micro speakers I tried, and I really liked the form factor.

I will say none of these speakers sound nearly as good as my Bose Soundlink Micro, but that's a different price range, and it's also old enough to still use micro-USB, which is a pain.

Solid feedback. I haven't tried this soundcore yet or the Tozo PE1 so I'm going to keep an eye on that one now too. I've heard the new JBL Go 4 is an improvement over the Go 3 so I may test that one out at some point as well. The Go 3 was an ok speaker but when I decided to test a, "Boomcore" speaker on Amazon on super sale for maybe $12, it beat the Go 3 in almost every way (battery life, volume, no distortion at high volumes, TWS functionality). The only thing the JBL had on it was higher quality build materials but that wasn't enough justification to keep it so I sold it. I ended up ordering another Boomcore a month later on super sale again and the TWS mode is flawless with every use.

I kept searching YouTube and waiting for those to blow up in popularity and finally discovered at least two other brand names the speaker was sold under. As a general rule of thumb, I avoid AliExpress but I found an identical looking speaker on there for less than $10 and figured I would see if it really was a generic rebrand. It was a perfect match to the first two I had bought under the, "Boomcore" name on Amazon.

I can't post links to the speaker because when I tried to do that in the past, mods delete my entire comment. Instead, here is a YouTube video of a screen recording that shows this alternative if anyone is interested.

I would love to hear the Go 4 vs Tozo PE1 vs Boomcore (rebranded) speakers in a showdown but, honestly, I'm happy enough with the Boomcores that it will be a bit before I feel the need to invest in more of these small portable speakers.
