Just confirmed it's the SAME price in the store - which surprises me as typically Costco online prices are a bit higher than psychically in the stores.

Thoughts on this deal?

The triple port adapter usually sells for ~$7-$10. So ~$20 ish for a 50ft., 12 gauge extension cord isn't too bad, right?

Seems like a really good deal, surprised at the lack of traction here. Am I missing something?

Good price. 12/3 is more heavy duty than I want to deal with though.

When you say it's more heavy than you want to deal with, what do you mean exactly? Please excuse my ignorance!

14/3 is lighter, 10/3 is really heavy duty. 16/2 is the lightest.

Like literally it is heavy because 50 feet of 12 gauge wire is thicker and heavy. If you don't need so much power / current (~20 amps / ~2400 watts) you might just stick to cheaper lighter extension cords!

I bought two 25' cord heavy duty from costco but I hardly use, too heavy for back and forth between use and storing. I thought heavy gauge is better but not always true.

12 gauge wire is larger than 14 or 16 gauge, so it has added mass.

I have been wanting to get a 13 amp dethatcher, but I need a minimum of 100ft for our yard. The longer the cord length, the more electrical current is lost to whatever the heavy-duty extension cable is powering. So for this application, at 100 feet, 12 gauge can take up to 15 amps at 1650 watts. 14 gauge might work, but would likely get really hot.

You need to provide a link. Walmart has nothing close to this deal. $9.97 will get you a single 16 gauge 25' cord. This deal is for 2 50' 12 gauge cords and a two foot triple tap. It is a MUCH better deal. Walmart does have a single 50' 12/3 cord for $55.50. The Costco deal give you two cords and a triple tap 2 footer for less than the cost of a single 50' Hyper Tough Walmart cord. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-...3319&gQT=1

That deal is long gone (back in February on clearance). Same cord is now $72.
