It's a link to the motherboard. But when you add the motherboard to cart, it adds 32GB of free RAM.

So is this just an ad or what, because this is pretty much regular price.

This chip has lower speed Pcie, it also has four zen4c cores. Long story short, it is not going to win any awards for speed and it also doesn't pair well with a GPU.

Too bad the $139 Gigabyte B650 Wifi doesn't come with the free ram anymore.

This an Entry level system is for a user that has all the other parts. Yes the cpu is a crippled lost lead bait and switch tech with its bottleneck gpu performance and 4.0 pci but you get a low power draw system for your old psu and 850 chipset with room to grow. Only wish it was atx board.

I looked at that board with these parts but I was concerned about the reviews concerning the vrm problems for future cpu upgrades. By the way the release date of this board is January 2025 and has very few reviews so that is a minus.

as you should be. these cheap boards are meant for APUs. they have a tiny VRM for the CPU and a large VRM (relatively speaking) for the iGPU. that board is not meant for a proper ryzen CPU, like a 9700X for example

APU stands for Accelerated Processing Unit in the context of computers. It is a type of processor that combines both a CPU (Central Processing Unit) and a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) onto a single chip. This integration allows the processor to handle both general computing tasks and graphics processing, making it a versatile and efficient solution for many types of computers, especially laptops and budget desktops.

VRM Meaning in Computers
VRM stands for Voltage Regulator Module. In computers, a VRM is a crucial component found on motherboards and graphics cards. Its primary function is to convert and regulate the higher voltage supplied by the power supply unit (typically 12V or 5V) down to the much lower, precise voltages required by sensitive components like the CPU and GPU

iGPU Meaning in Computers
iGPU stands for integrated Graphics Processing Unit. It refers to a graphics processor that is built directly into the same chip as the CPU (Central Processing Unit) or, in some cases, into the motherboard itself. Unlike dedicated (or discrete) GPUs, which are separate hardware components with their own memory, iGPUs share system RAM with the CPU and do not have dedicated video memory.

Thank for the feedback and I nfo. I had to look up all those meanings in perplexity I was not aware of the different setups.

If you're planning on moving beyond an igpu, the microcenter bundle of motherboard, 7600x and 32gb is $293.
https://www.microcenter.com/site/...-save.aspx
You have to be close enough to a microcenter though. That's only in store.
7600x has a small igpu that is about the level of the Intel desktop chip igpu. 8500g is a lot more igpu and less CPU power.
