I bought the original war chest one back in the 90's from Electronic Boutique at the mall when I was a kid back in the 90's. I saved my allowance for months to get that.

Most users do not enjoy the reforged graphics, but there is a community sourced visual update you can install called the Kenshin mod, and it's awesome!

I would say you should own it to support the developer but it just launches straight out of StarCraft 2. It uses StarCraft 2 unit pathing which is a godsend

1) logout of battle.net client; 2) click continue login offline 3) if you're wc3 cdkey is on your account you'll see an option to install wc3

That's strange, I am in America and have no issue playing the older games.

I can't find the link I used, I should probably have saved the installer. This article just came up 3 weeks ago talking about how to install it outside of battle.net but it may be the same thing.
