These are also great for converting your kids Power Wheels over to lithium batteries. The adapters are under $10 on Amazon.
Just had my first experience with Ryobi warranty claim on a backpack sprayer, one of the worst experiences on a warranty claim ever. A year and a half and the hose is rotting away and they are saying it's a wear item. This is after sending me to a repair center that did not repair outdoor stuff.
This is part of Home depot's deal of the day. and contains three high performance batteries, two HP 4ah and one HP 2ah plus a dual charger all for $109. To give you an idea of how good a deal this is, also included in the daily deal is two HP 4ah batteries only for $119. IEven Direct Tools outlet store website has the HP 4ah battery at 40% off at $59.99 each.

Ive done it to two vehicles that had no batteries. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...asin_title I got this speed controller that you screw the positive and negative battery to and the positive and negative output to the motor. It's marked so it's easy and if you hook up the battery/motor backwards the car would go backwards so you could just unscrew and switch the wires. I also got this with a fuse https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...asin_title and decided to go with ryobi because the batteries allegedly have microprocessors in them to prevent damage to them if the cars drain the batteries too low.
Thank you both! So if I got the adaptor in the second link, I wouldn't need the previously mentioned wago lever connectors? And my current Power Wheels is the 12v dune racer…so if I'm using the 18v Ryobi battery, it will go faster and I don't need anything else to prevent either the motor or battery burning up?

Thank you! Did you just rig up the single battery? No speed throttler or power inverter? (Watched several videos, not confident in incorporating those things)
Bro just had an alert for "Ryobi power Wheels" and it finally was hitSmilie

To avoid burning up the 12v motors, I would implement a 30amp fuse at a minimum.
I converted my kids several years ago with Ryobi batteries also implemented a motor speed controller. The speed controller allows you to lower voltage which will reduce speeds and prolong the motors life.

The products i linked to dont require wago connectors because you screw the wires into the voltage controller and one comes with fuses inline already as well to protect from overheating. The controller has a knob so you can control the speed (and avoid burning out the motor or gears too quickly). You will need a way to cut and strip the ends of the wires so the wires make good contact with the metal on the voltage controller you screw them in to. Harbor freight has Pittsburgh brand wire strippers for $5.99.

I'm using milwaukee m18 batteries on all my ryobi tools... just buy a adapters... saves me money and it runs longer and better
I am tempted by this, have you run into any issues with high current draw tools? Currently in the Ryobi ecosystem and looking to expand out into M18. Easier to swallow if I could use M18 batteries in Ryobi.

Project farm did a video on these batteries. The conclusion is that they are no better than the regular Ryobi batteries.

I would recommend a step down buck converter to change to around 14v. I used 18v on my kids and it was crazy fast doing burnouts and whatever but fried the gears after a month. I feel like 14v would be the sweet spot. Just make sure the buck converter will handle 200w. My 2c.

I bought this recently in a previous slick deals post which was $99. Seems like the price has increased by $10

With all the batteries they throw at us whenever we buy tools, is there really anyone out there that needs these?

Me too but this has the 2 slot charger compared to a single slot. I thought it was worth the $10 more so I bought another set.

Yes, that was one of the links i sent. The full 18v on a 12v toy is going to chew the gears up. Unfortunately my kids figured out the dial and do burnouts in the driveway!

Just cut the wires on the Power Wheels and attach the converter.
It already comes with a wire connector. The hardest part is stripping the wires.

Don't forget to add a fuse to the connection to prevent overheating and fires.
