Power stack is a better battery, so a 5ah powerstack is better than a 6ah old style.

6AH is their best standard battery with high current Samsung INR21700-30T cells. You have to go PowerStack/PowerPack/FlexVolt to beat it. If any of their traditional batteries still deserves the XR badge, it's this one.

FYI it looks like they are finally clarifying that the 4.0AH battery in the pack is the older bigger size one (DCB204). Previous frontpage deal appears to be shipped with either that old one or the newer compact 4.0AH battery (DCB240). I was lucky and got the compact one in the previous deal.

Differences between them apart from dimensions:

Despite the 6ah being better why do I feel repulsed by having 6 and 4? My 5ah batteries make me feel like they're perfect for me and the 4/6 would be not good .. I do have a 3ah which is fine but 4/6.... Why do I feel this way? Am I alone

No you'll need 60v or flex volt for that, these are 20v.

Is it really though? In what way. I expected it to be lighter and smaller than my old 5 ah battery but it's not. It's larger and heavier. And using it in a blower I don't notice any difference at all in performance. I keep hearing they're supposed to be so much better but I'm pretty disappointed with mine at twice the price of a regular battery.

It's my OCD doin' it for me here.

In my DeWALT battery lineup I have two of almost everything EXCEPT my DCB204 that came with my blower. If I get this and it comes with the new DCB240 then I just made it worse. If it comes with the older DCB204 then I'm just treading water because it will be my first DCB206 and I need to find a deal on another.

Even though it mentions bag it does NOT come with the bag as evidenced by some of the reviews.

Anyone know the life span of most Dewalt batteries. I have 6 or seven Dewalt batteries and the are 6 years old. So far no problems but I am itching to get this.
