After pondering for quite some time, I ordered one shortly after midnight on May 21st in my time zone. Then got the email to verify my identity, missed the deadline (which was probably about 24 hours later), and called about 14 hours after the deadline, got an automated message that my order was being cancelled. Got transferred to a couple of departments under postpaid until I finally got to the department that deals with fraud. The person I talked to asked me details about my order, which phone I purchased, what my billing address is, that sort of thing, and I provided answers, and then the staff person cleared my order to get it to move along. Within a couple of minutes I got an email confirmation. In retrospect, should have called within the first 24 hours of ordering, yesterday, during the day. Overall, I'm a bit more comfortable with not uploading my ID and something like a cable bill (that might have my PIN on the top of the form), probably more time consuming because of all the runaround, but it was smooth sailing once I was talking with the right staff person. And because I talked with the staff person (instead of doing the ID/address verification online), I also had the added benefit of knowing that the order should be processed and the phone shipped soon (as there are others on this thread who report doing the online verification of ID and address, and then later having their orders cancelled).

As long as my credit card gets charged what my order confirmation states (a little over $330, after taxes and fees), and not $350 extra, that's what matters.

Did you try a different color/storage level of phone? In other words, did you try to order a different item?

Sarah, thank you for posting this deal. I got in on it a few weeks ago in early May, and am loving my 512 GB iPhone 14 Plus in Midnight! Got it for around $386 after all taxes and the required plan. Way cheaper than any of the current $1,000 offerings directly from Apple, and still will get support for another 4-5 years or so. The screen size is great, battery is amazing, and most of all I love how light it is compared to the 13/14 Pro Max models. Other than having Lightning instead of USB-C (I can live with that), to me the 14 Plus is the "goldilocks" phone with everything being just what you need, and affordable value. Thank you again.

Awesome. Yes I wanted a new phone, with larger screen size, and when thinking about this phone in the $300 range compared to >$1000 for the 16 Plus with that screen size and 256 GB and higher, this just provided the best value to cost.

In that sort of mid-$300 price point is the base iPad, yes, it now has the A16 chip, but the screen is dull and doesn't get as bright. Yeah, the phone isn't an iPad, and I can't write directly on it in the same way there are apps for the iPad (with a stylus/Apple Pencil), but a lot of what I think my use case will be for is mostly for reading web pages/articles/news, watching videos, using some apps, social media, texting, etc. that can be done on a phone or tablet. And a cellular iPad is likely $500 minimum for the regular iPad, and the one I'd want is the Air and that's even more expensive. So I just thought the price in the low-mid $300s for the 14 Plus and portability/connectivity (as a cellular device), with only 60 days until it unlocks, is a great value (for my use case). I will say I am curious how well "action mode" (available in the 14 series but not 13) works and am looking forward to testing it out.

I'm sure there will be deals in the future. Hard to know when (but Verizon prepaid does offer deals periodically in iPhones) or whether Verizon will fully adopt the ID/address verification as a hurdle to getting their phone discounts (as it appears that Metro now has too sometime in the last couple of months, and Total has been this way for a while).

Looks like these 14+ are 2 year old overstock merchandise, inferring from the iOS 16.5 it came with, however I checked the battery and it reports a 100% healthy status.
When I turned it on for the first time, the battery was at 27% charge. I got the 256GB version.
I just updated it to the latest 18.5 and all is woking fine.
I like the fact that it has the same 12MP main camera module as the 13 Pro Max which is better in low light and colors than the newer 48MP modules, since its lens has a larger aperture and longer focal length for less distorted images (26 vs 24 mm Eqv).
This 14+ is a great value at this price and highly recommended!

Thanks, got this as looks to be a great deal. I am assuming it's not necessary to pay for the second month and still it gets unlocked after 60 days? Also will I be able to use Visible SIM when still locked (Visible is owned by Verizon)
Phone is already $199 when you pay upfront for a year of service from Visible.

I knew this was coming as Verizon post paid and prepaid were losing a lot of customers who bought a phone/plan with getting a heavily discounted phone and after 60 days, bailed when phone unlocked. I think the 60 day unlock will be soon gone: http://www.theverge.com/news/6725...equirement

Not a good deal, since you're locked in for annual service of Visible+ Pro annual plan ($450/yr).

The 128 GB is $199 and the 512GB is $499.

I only pay $15/mo for my cellular plan or $180 annually. So for my use case, much more expensive with Visible.

There are a bunch of cases for $4.99, but the price changes to full MSRP when case is added to cart. Ex- https://www.verizon.com/products/...e-14-plus/

Anyone able to get it for $4.99? Customer support was super rude and didn't help at all.
Thanks for this. Just ordered a bunch of cases @ $4.99 + tax free shipping; hopefully they all ship.

Even older stock for me. iOS 16.2, with 22% charge remaining, at full 100% battery capacity. I got the Midnight, 512 GB version.

If 2nd month payment is a must for unlock, what's the minimum plan ?
