If you have Aldi near you, we switched to the brand Brenner & Co and never looked back...Way better tasting, great quality and cheap (less than $2 for 100bags)

My mom used to be totally happy with this stuff. Then she started watching Youtube and these social media influencers have her wanting Yall tea now.

Sheesh, people are too easy to brainwash.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit that bagged Orange Pekoe is bagged Orange Pekoe. At this price point from Amazon, I'd prefer Yorkshire Red for hot tea (it feels wrong for Lipton to be hot instead of cold.)

I agree, I don't understand how this stuff sells. I learned years ago that Lipton does make good tea, Yellow Label tea which is widespread in other countries except the US (unless you go to asian or european groceries). I haven't had it in years though, so I don't know if it's still good.

It really is bad. I bought a big block from Costco and ended up tossing. Red Rose is cheap as hell too but its actually good.

I'm from the land where people cook their tea in a pot on the stove in order to dissolve more sugar in it than could possibly be stirred in. Then they pour the hot tea syrup over ice to cool it down. The tea tastes terrible and in my opinion, the sugar that is supposed to make it better actually makes it worse instead, like a nice glass of "pancake syrup". And everybody has the diabetus, but for some reason, they like it that way. I will still go straight to Lipton for unsweetened ice tea (a lot of desirable flavors go away at 32F), but we have to make it at home for ourselves, because it's a 50/50 chance if somebody else has cooked their unsweetened tea for the same number of minutes as sweetened. And that's also why I don't drink Lipton hot, it's a bit of a psychosomatic thing that even gets triggered by loose leaf Ceylon. TLDR: there are people who want the best tea in the world to taste like an old stump, and they're looking at the name on the package.

Seriously if you're really not able to pay 10c per tea bag (which would normally make 2 cups from a decent brand). Lowest I would suggest to go is "Tetley British Blend Premium Black Tea Bags, 80 Tea Bags" 4$. Else please get PGtips or Yorkshire tea. - please 🙏

Anyone can recommend loose tea from Southasian places found in those stores? I have tried few, but didn't like them much I tried. Maybe because they were not organic?
