I read the reviews and the most important part is that the window width MUST be 25" or larger or the supporting brackets will not fit in the window to hold the unit as intended. Apparently this most BASIC info was not included on the box, but does appear in the instructions inside the box. I hope this info will save you time and effort as it did me.

I wonder how good this is compared to the Midea 8k. The midea 8k U is so quiet when it's on the lowest cooling demand, I love it.

Just installed the unit on a just shy of 22" window frame, works great and it's very quiet.
Had to shortened one of the extensions that screws on the window frame in order to secure the ac bracket.

I think this needs to be emphasized more. I have 2 of the midea u shaped ones. It is completely impractical to clean out the motor cage on the midea units. Lot of people have mold issues. Something to consider beyond noise and price.
This aged well.

Can anyone comment on if this is a good unit for a third floor apartment window with standard vertically sliding windows?

I read there's some difficulty with the bracket, would the window be enough to hold it in place?

Like others, I could not register this product on the Hisense web site.....no matter how I tried. I then chatted on their web site (hisense-usa.com). The only current method to register the product is via chat or call. They will need the following.

Full name, physical address, email, phone number, model and serial number, place and date of purchase, used in home or business

Moving to a place without central air and need to buy a new window unit. The deal is old but I'm curious if anyone knows if this goes on sale often? They don't have any in stock at the moment.

Replaced my recalled Midea with this and much prefer it. Major thing for me is no light on the sides but the window closes lower and the view is better. Quieter than Midea. Mine was never as quiet as everybody says. Hisense works better and makes the room very pleasant. Remote very basic and haven't used the app. Now they are selling a 12,000. Already got the dual inverter LG or would have gone with this. So far liking LG. A little louder but it works very well and has auto dry/fan to avoid mold.

there is no way these high sense ones aren't also made by Midea; they look identical in terms of the front end design and even the notches that opened the filter, etc.
