It looks like the smith bar has hooks that go into the bar vs pins. Others have mentioned this is less desirable. Doesn't have the weight plate storage but looks like it takes up less space because of it. Pullys are 1:1 vs 2:1 which could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on your preferences.

It's also interesting that this one comes with a bench seat attachment for the safety catch arm, but not a leg hold down for lat pull downs, whereas the M4 has the leg hold down attachment, but no bench seat attachment. I feel like this seat is almost more desirable as you can get a leg hold down attachment that attaches directly to the rack for $50 or less, but a bench seat attachment is generally more expensive. I haven't seen a bench add on for the safety catch arm sold separately but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

I've seen this comment a few times but, with this machine and the m4, the catch arms and the bar holder attachments that come with it allow for a traditional flat bench or squat workout in front of the machine, just add a barbell and/or bench. I think having the added option of a smith is still a nice to have if you are working out solo without a spotter and dont want to risk it, but to each their own. If anything it's just another option.

At the end of the video he is doing a bench press but I did not see a bench in the included parts. Wow, I loved the assembly video, very well done! Anyone with any experience on this model?

Avoid smith bars that hook into the uprights as this model does. The long explanation is when you go to rack the smith bar you have to rotate it to turn the hooks and the hooks are just as likely to hit a flat on the upright as the hole and bounce off. You have to keep rotational pressure while lowering the bar hoping that it catches on the next hole, if your going down a bit fast the hooks will just keep bouncing off the flats all the way down to where you "hopefully" set the safety catch. Just a bad design, it works under normal controlled usage but if your ever in a pinch tore a muscle, pulled a muscle got in an awkward position where you need to rack quick fast and in a hurry this type will let you down. You know the time you really need it to be working its best. If you always set the bottom safety catch it may not be the end of the world but we all get lazy when we just want to knock out a set real quick, probably more so on a smith bar as you know the smith bar is there if you need it. The smith bars that hook onto pins don't have this issue as you rotate the hooks and they turn into either empty space or onto a pin immediately but either way when you lower the bar you are guaranteed to hook the next pin and it doesn't require constant turning force and hopes and dreams to catch

TLDR: The pin type smith bars are a 1000x better design buy that kind. The Mikolo M4 has this type if your wanting to stick with a lower cost setup or like the Mikolo brand name. Temu has the best prices on Mikolo by far and a better return policy than Amazon or Walmart as it is 90 day return!

I just got the m4 and like it alot. Roughly the same price on temu shipped based on the previous posters link. The temu app is annoying as hell with all the popups but if you make one small purchase first it gives you a bunch of coupons. I got an $80 off ....$300 I think.

This looks almost identical to the m4 without the branding. if it is, it's a great deal, especially if you can get their $80 coupon.

At the very end of all the pictures there were two videos, one of them was the guy working out in the other was an assembly video but it looks like it got replaced. but here is one of the other ones that still has it, it's the last video https://www.walmart.com/ip/123388...3c5b694c44

Learn from my fail. Don't unwrap all the parts when you first unpack it. The part number is on a sticker on the wrapper of the parts.

i just got this on temu for $420 after using a 120 off 500 coupon.

the trick is to buy a small order first to get a bunch of coupon codes.

enter "rebate100" into the search box and order the cheapest possible items and checkout. after checkout you'll be presented with coupon codes of varying values.
