Yeah that price sucks. IMO we're really at the point of diminishing returns, so I'm fine waiting for a crazy deal on the c4. I doubt anyone could tell the difference between the models in a blind test.

Anyone who is a student, or works for a company that partners with LG, can create a Partner Store account. Same with Samsung and a lot of other places. Amazon employees, for example, can create an account by going to the partner store website and putting in their work email. If you're not sure if your employer is partnered with them, just try setting up an account, using your work email. LG will either approve you or they won't.
