no win, plastic breaks down and you eat pieces of it ok for knives, wood can't clean as well as plastic bacteria better for knives, metal cleanest but worst for knives. Eat plastic, eat bacteria, or buy knives constantly pick your poison.
Cutting boards are made of plastic. Over time plastic degrades/breaks down during use and will end up in your food.

Wood infested with bacteria isn't that healthy either.

There's definitely a win.

Just soak the wooden boards a little longer than usual with a natural cleaner and hot water. These aren't thermophiles that can survive temperatures above 37c, just requires a little more effort.

The human body has evolved to fight off bacterial pathogens.

It hasnt evolved to digest plastic.

"Soak a little longer" is a good way to end up with a split wooden cutting board, and wtf is a "natural cleaner?

Just buy board made of one slice of wood instead of that chessboard looking cutting board. I think those are the one prone to breaking.

You really felt the need to like your own post? 😂

There's a difference between soaking a board with hot water for a few minutes and dunking it for hours in water. Just use a little common sense and you'll still have a wooden to use tomorrow.

A 2 second search and you'd learn what a "natural cleaner" is.

Wood boards are naturally antibacterial... This is a widely known fact... If your plastic boards start staining because their are too many micro cuts in them, then they are actually harbouring more thriving bacteria then wood boards. Wood offers tannins and other substances that bacteria do not thrive in.

A lot of wood cutting boards also use wood glue, so you will be eating rubber glue instead of plastic. if you are buying wood make sure its a solid piece and not some cheap trash.

Sure... But won't people use their eyes see the start of degradation and get rid of it and buy a new one? Also, if you choose to ignore and don't care, you'll just deficate it out later anyhow.
