Took about an hour, but got off the phone with Total Wireless and it looks like the port may go through. The rep sent an eSim to the phone, added 3-months of service, then initiated the port from Google Voice. I received a port request and port completion text from Total Wireless to the Google Voice number so now I just have to wait to see if the service activates.

Same thing, still on hold. It's crazy how incompetent their CS is. They took over 20 minutes just to tell me it's being delivered.

at least UPS is making money off of this cluster by total wireless. good for UPS. they need some additional revenue from clown companies who can't make up their mind.

I am considering porting my primary line from US Mobile to total and get this new phone deal with 3 month prepaid plan. Once the new service is activated on the new phone, can I move the SIM to my existing phone - Samsung 23 ultra and keep this Razr in drawer?
I thought these were activated via eSim, if so you'd need to request a transfer from TW. However, I'd recommend you port your number to Google Voice and port in a different number (Barn, Red Pocket, etc) on the chance you have difficulties getting your number back (as it's become apparent to me that TW CS is terrible at best). If you use Google Voice you can then use your phone number on any carrier, great if you swap between carriers.

Also would depend on your current US Mobile line since I know their plan structures have changed wildly for the past half year - if you are on a legacy deal plan it may be worth staying with them so you can keep your current deal.

Mine arrived today. It's a neat phone. It's a steal at $165, imo. Spent an hour with support trying to port my GV number. Seems like it got stuck in the process. They are going to cancel and resubmit the port. Will see how that goes. Support was patient, stayed with me while I got GV support on the line. I can now make calls, use the data and send messages, just that incoming call to the GV number still goes to GV.

All these port-in issues, are they only for google voice numbers or for all carriers?
Quote from R@VEN :
I was going to ask the same question.
As Oregon14 posted earlier "It can take several days for GV to port, it's mentioned a lot in the other TW deals requiring port."...It's pretty normal for the incoming calls to take longer..

Ports from ATT and T-Mobile usually happen quickly.

High probability that your phone will flag as BYOD and they won't unlock....Unless you get some TW rep who has atleast an ounce of smart brain cells.

Hope not bcoz it happened to my A35 samsung and I gave up...

Yeah I'm not sure what will happen. She was able to look up my order number which includes the phone, IMEI, and 3-months of service on the same transaction but we'll see.

For me they messed up but still gave a Code for Samsung for unlock but that damn phone doesn;t accept unlock codes and had to be unlocked with software update. And nobody got a clue.
Type UNLOCK to 611611 and see what u get. It should says it will be unlocked on a specific date. They can fix if there issue but needs a competent rep and they have .1 of them in their team ..
