I have a 9000 or 12000 btu 110v costway one without wifi that i installed myself. I am a step or 2 above a handyman and a step or 2 below a licensed contractor.

Some negatives: I am assuming the remote is the thermostat and is around 6-7 degrees off. I live 30 minutes ne of atlanta. This thing will not keep up for heat in January. With that said, I live in a 900 sq A frame from the 70s with single pane windows. Lastly the 60 degree minimum kind of stinks. Because I think its trying to run more at 66.

Mine does not have wifi so I cant comment on that.

As far as the ac goes, its awesome. It costs almost nothing to make it feel like it should snow inside.

My guess is under $1 a day to keep it cold, more like $3 a day to keep it warm.

All of this assumes this is the same as the rebranded costway ones. Almost 2 full years and no issues.

How much does one of these bad boys cost to have someone install on average? I heard about 3X the price of the unit.....
Anywhere between 500 to 10000. I kid you not i know a guy was quoted 50k for 5 units. I gave him my guys number. $800 per unit including labor.

Its not just this, I was quoted $500 for a tv install recently. What is the deal? Angies list or just the new reality of the rising wage gap? Theres noway this can last. My rich friend, recently overpaid for like an 02 water system, didnt need it, but felt bad for the guy. They just guilt a few people a week? I know people understand the logic of paying doctors and lawyers $200-$300, because they go to school for 8 years of heck, at a loss of potentially millions or so. You dont pay that amount in this circumstance, that is an obvious no. I imagine if you continue to look youll find someone at a reasonable rate, maybe not asap because theyre the ones scheduling everything.

Aux is the brand, usually rated/priced at or near the bottom among all known Chinese domestic brands.

So cheap. I bought from Turbro last year. Another Chinese brand but not part of the Aux family. Turbro is slightly more expensive. Their customer service is great. They sent me replacement parts within a week. They even refund me a mistake paypal made. Paypal charged me foreign transaction fee.

Offering an alternative to those willing to spend a little bit more. I had this installed yesterday and it is great, whisper quiet & high efficiency. https://www.amazon.com/Heating-Co...=UTF8&th=1

The 1-year warranty isn't great. I need a dual zone and they are pricier. Too much of risk for a 1-year warranty to me. There are some that have a 5-year warranty on parts and 7-years on the compressor. Also the warranty is only valid if a licensed technician installed it with some companies.
