Not a fan of yellow (anything), but the black version is $60 more. Regardless, it's basically a (weird) toy turntable (as compared to higher quality, standard types), but it's portable, so that counts for something, at least?
I don't consider delicate vinyl "portable"! There's too much risk of damage to your record collection!
It's not for me....but I'm sure that some might find it interesting....perhaps?

Why use vinyl then? You're losing analog and converting to digital. Better off with streaming or flac

  1. No built in speakers. Even the $27 Victrola suitcase record player with built in battery has stereo speakers that can also be used as speakers for your phone.
  2. One of the lighter no speaker portables. Toshiba has their model with built in album cover stand.
  3. Yes, you can do DSD etc 1-bit streaming with built in speakers in a portable player.

Just buy it, play it on your backyard.

Really what is the use case for this thing.

I'm not traveling somewhere to play someone else's record collection. Even if I did, $140 seems stiff for that gimmick.

::stretches thumbs in suspenders::

Back in the olden times on the 1980s, I had me a Sony Flamingo. It was a fancy portable record player than looked just like this one, and it was AWESOME. Used it all the time. It ran on 4AA batteries and you could get a good 10-11 albums out of it.

Cassettes started to become popular shortly after, and then CDs hit the scene, so I stopped using the Sony and ended up selling it at a garage sale.

So that's my story.
