Can any say how this sounds or give a little insight? What kind of music is it for? Would it be great for metal and rap?
Late reply, but these are considered kinda "accurate" speakers, entry level hi-fi.
I use their slightly lower budget younger brothers the ELAC Debut 2.0 B6.2. Those are pretty good for the genres I listen to: metal, electronic, indie, some hip-hop etc. Though if you wanted a lot of bass for hip-hop you'd want to pair them with a sub (for an amazing budget option I love my RSL Speedwoofer 10E).
Basically yeah they'd be good, depending on your expectations. I like an accurate, kind of clinical but still warm sounding speaker rather than one more known for being "exciting" like Klipsch etc, but that might just be me.
