Bought this for $5 during the Switch sale.

Fun digivolve mechanics (outside of min/maxing digimon with ABI), but the pace of the story is excruciatingly slow. Half the game is fetch quests and reading walls of filler plot since the VA is Japanese only. I have no problem with subs, but the amount of garbage they make you read through is pretty rough.

The digimon novelty wears off quickly. The progression also isn't always intuitive so you'll probably need to look up a guide. The same goes for how some of the mechanics work. But the story is interesting if you can get through it. I gave up on the game and just read a summary of what happens.

Worth trying for $5 if you're a Digimon fan, but as a JRPG there are much better games out there.

Love this game. Such a great deal for $5. My favorite not-Pokemon, not-Persona game that captures a lot of the energy of both.

Yeah honestly I'd rather just play a Digimon with a really loose tamer story like the DS games. Little to no story and just raise, level up, and digivolve monsters.

For 5 bucks though these are good enough.
