This is an excellent day-bag for travel with two caveats:
1) The bottle sleeve on the exterior, wears easily. I've only gotten ~12-months out of the sleeve, and it is almost worn through on the stretchy material.
2) It does not have a trolley/pass-through, to stack on a carry-on during transit.
Otherwise, the canvas is super sturdy... and the straps adjustable. It's a perfect size that isn't too big or too small.

I saw that it has a padded sleeve for a tablet.
Does anyone know if that would hold a 13" MacBook Air?

Saw a review that fit a 14" MacBook Pro in the sleeve which is a similar dimension.

I've had this backpack for ~7 years. It is a narrow backpack, it holds a fairly decent amount. It has pretty decent organization all-around. I frequently use this as a day bag or strap it on for bike rides. A good value at this price.
