These have been on clearance at Walmart for months now. Bought two boxes and they crinkle and fold at the waistline after only two wears.

95% - Viscose is a semi-synthetic fabric produced from cellulose, typically wood pulp, and is also known as rayon

Its a synthetic process, but the material has an organic source (wood pulp) and, critically, does not contribute to the microplastics problem like polyester does.
Viscose/rayon and cotton don't give off microplastics into the water supply, and are biodegradable (eventually.)
Tencel and modal use fewer harsh chemicals in production, but are in the same category.
Conversely, polyester, nylon, lycra, spandex, are all petroleum based, resist degradation, and create microplastics as they're worn and washed. Am not buying those any more.

I only buy "long leg" boxer briefs for that exact reason. I've got big thighs and that's the only thing that works for me.

good points about mircroplastics, but I say organic cotton is the way to go. viscose, especially low-cost ones like these, are most likely made with harsh chemicals, which means not great for the environment or the poor chumps in the factories making them, and the chemical residue will be rubbing on your jewels all day long. viscose is not very sweat/odor resistant either. only if the viscose is branded or certified as OEKO-TEX, TENCEL or EcoVero, I'd say look for better options, unless you're just concerned about the microplastics issue only and not too worried about personal health implications. then again, it's just friggin underwear. you can probably wear these for a few years without making much of an impact in any significant way besides your own awareness about it. I like the organic cotton option, weighing all the factors important to me, but I'm not trying to save the world either.

It seems like briefs would be the best option since there's no legs on them at all.
