Total Wireless has the Motorola Stylus 2025 for $200, compared to $400 unlocked, but comes with the down sides of Total Wireless phones.
Not the best deal but it seems to be the only one I can find for the 2025 version. Doesn't seem to require port in so maybe if you currently have Total Wireless (either because of the service or from another phone), this could be decent.

If you're patient, Tracfone has this for $219.99. It will also unlock after 60 days of paid service. You can pick up a 3-month service card $20 from Walmart.
Anyone know if I can buy this without a service plan, and just use it on Wi-Fi (obviously not as a phone or SMS)? Or will it require me to sign up for a plan, in order to keep that $199 price?
From gsmarena, looks like 2025 has about 15% improvements on performance compared to 2024
I don't even think it's that much. Many specs are exactly the same. The few that aren't exactly the same are marginal upgrades. Hard to justify not getting the free one.
You can get this at cricket for $80. Existing customers can just get a new number and it's 50 for the phone and 30 for the cheapest plan.
Hmm yeah that seems like a better deal. What's the unlock policy like?
Edit: looks like 6 months of paid service

It also seems that cricket wireless Motorola devices can never be bootloader unlocked which is a pretty big down side
That's true for promotional Moto's (and other brands) from most of the service providers. If you want to root a Moto you need to buy unlocked direct from them.

can you elaborate on how to get phone deal from TF while using and getting that 3-month $20 card from walmart?

Buy phone from Tracfone.com, buy 3 mo. service card from Walmart, activate phone using card, wait two months for unlock, use with any carrier you wish.

then you can't avoid purchasing plans from Tracfone.com to get the discount requiring eligible plan or X months/year service included. service card from walmart would be additional unnecessarily cost

Are you saying that they sometimes offer the phone for $220 without a plan? Currently it's offered for that price, but only with a 6 month plan for $30 per month. https://www.tracfone.com/phone/mo...24-prepaid.
