I have one. It works! Speed as expected. Good deal. My work laptop doesn't have any card reader so keep this in my bag.

There are some others under "You might also like" at $6.99 such as https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3XM9...p13NParams. So the price is not competitive.

I just bought a UGreen version of this and was within a dollar or two. I'm not sure this is FP worthy.

The reason I buy UGreen stuff is they advertise the chipsets used in their enclosures, and every time I bought one and tested it to verify, it was what they claimed. I don't know of another vendor that does this. The UGreen version of this device uses a Genesys chip, which is the most common for a multi interface device like this. I suspect this Sabrent uses the same if I had to guess but who knows without testing. For a 5Gbps reader, I doubt it matters which brand you go with.
These are very handy not just for reading microSD cards, but because it gives you a handy USB-A and C drive for utilities, installing your OS, etc on any PC new or old. It replaced buying flash drives for me.

No mention of "USB 3.0" on that one, which is sus. Even though it looks pretty similar note that it's slightly different physically, it has Micro USB as well as USB A. And the one that's physically identical to the one from the OP is more expensive and does mention USB 3.0.

Might be worth paying extra for the Sabrent.

if you go to that product on Amazon. there is a seperate purchase option for USB 3.0 for $7.99

I would not buy the $6.99 version

but, between that generic Vanja brand and this Sabrent brand. I would trust Sabrent more. You don't want some generic reader chewing up or distroying your memory cards just to save a couple dollars.
